Satvatonlineexams A landmark judgement by the Hon’ble Delhi High Court has resulted in increased demand for trained special teachers to be appointed two in each school of NCT of Delhi. Hon’ble High Court has also directed to grant equivalence to B.Ed. (SE) with B.Ed. (General) and D.Ed. (SE) with D.Ed./TTC for the purpose of appointment of special teachers in all the schools in the State as well as schools run by local bodies of Delhi. Similar demand is expected to be created in other States and UTs with National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) granting approval to B.Ed. (SE) and D.Ed. (SE) qualifications for appointment of elementary teachers in general schools.
The Act was amended by Parliament in 2000 to make it more broadbased.
